1- Set and lighting
For the set, we will need a sofa or a bed covered with a white sheet or blanket. We want the surface to be very smooth and create a nice curve for the backdrop
The photos are best using natural light, but the baby should not be placed under direct sunlight. Choose a room with a north-facing window or a window with a net curtain to diffuse the light
A couple of small towels or pieces of cloth to create some underneath support for the baby and add some dimension to the picture
2- Phone and App
The photoshoot is done with the Shutter App. Please download the app from your phone here: https://start.theshutter.app/ The app is free and you won't need to create an account
On the day of the session, please ensure you have a good internet connection, 2 to 3 Gb of free space and a fully charged phone
Have a soft cloth nearby to keep the camera lens clean throughout the shoot
3- Your baby
Ensure baby is fed before the session and the room is nice and warm to keep your baby happy
Dress the baby in a plain, well-fitting onesie/ bodysuit - short sleeves and no legs are best. Avoid anything too big or with prints such as animals or a logo. Whites, creams, and greys work really well for baby
A soft blanket and a cuddly toy can be used as accessories to add some texture to your photos
